Culminating Activity
For practice, ask students if they agree or disagree with the following statements.
If in the classroom, you may get your students to stand up to either disagree or disagree. For example, divide the class in half (place a halfway mark in the middle using a tape), one side will be sang-ayon ako and the other side will be hindi ako sang-ayon. Have the students walk back and forth. Instruct them to be prepared to defend their choice. Randomly ask students after each statement why they chose their stand. Encourage them to speak in Filipino or Taglish as much as possible. |
Statements: Sang-ayon ka ba or hindi ka sang-ayon na…
|
Enrichment Activity
- Have students write 3-4 sentences about why they agree or disagree with the statements above. This will help with their writing skills and technical grammatical skills. Make sure to correct any grammar mistakes and assist in translating words they do not know.
- Have students practice further using the following mini survey. Add more or replace statements to relate to their experience as each classroom is different.
